2 July 1953 – “Mrs. Lottie Mae Foreman, 81, of Cedar Grove, died at her home yesterday after a long illness.
“She was born Aug. 6, 1871, in Appomattox County, Va., daughter of the late Charles and Amerila Rudd Stone. She came to Montgomery when she was 12 years old and has been living in the Kanawha Valley ever since.
“Mrs. Foreman was a charter member of the Montgomery Baptist Church.
“Surviving are her husband, Joseph Foreman; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Mae Lavender, Fayetteville; three sons, Wesley of Cannelton, Maurice of Cleveland, O., and Pfc. Thjomas R. Foreman of Ft. George Meade, Md.; a brother, Victor Stone of Charleston, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
“The body is at B. C. Hooper mortuary at Montgomery.”
