Humorously noted as a “Family Retreat,” a story about how three members of an Appomattox family ended up in the Lynchburg hospital within one week was printed in a Missouri newspaper.
“T.W. Moses began his family retreat from Appomattox. He entered a Lynchburg hospital for an operation. Early next day his wife went to the hospital for a checkup and treatment. State Sen. Charles T. Moses, their son, followed them a few days later – a pneumonia patient.”
